E3 2017 Day 3 – Sony Conference: Horizon Zero Dawn DLC, Shadow Of The Colossus Remake, Spider-Man Gameplay

Horizon Zero Dawn’s First Expansion

Critically acclaimed PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, is getting it’s first expansion later this year. It looks like it’ll be taking place in a new, very snowy area. It’s titled The Frozen Wilds and it looks interesting. You can see the trailer for it here.

Longer Look At Days Gone

Somewhat interesting zombie game, Days Gone, came to E3 with more footage of what to expect from it when it hits stores. While definitely not the most creative take on the zombie genre, it will be a pretty fun challenge maneuvering around hundreds of zombies trying not to get caught. You can see the trailer for it here.

Monster Hunter Coming To Consoles And PC

Long time handheld exclusive series, Monster Hunter, is going to be coming to consoles and PCs as early as 2018. The series has garnered a pretty substantial following, so I’m sure they’ll be excited to get it when it comes to bigger screens. You can see the announcement trailer for it here.

Shadow Of The Colossus Is Getting A Remake

Legendary title, Shadow Of The Colossus, is getting remade for the PS4, this is super exciting! Shadow Of The Colossus is widely considered to be one of the greatest games of all time and it’ll be great to introduce it to the newer generation that may not have had the chance to play it. Also, this is a remake and not a remaster, meaning the graphics and such will be completely redone for the modern era. You can see the trailer for it here.

Oh Look Call Of Duty

The yearly Call Of Duty is making the rounds again. This one goes back to having boots on the ground. So yeah, you shoot guns in this game. Trailer here.

A Bunch Of Games Are Coming To PSVR

Looks like a bunch of games are being ported and made for the PSVR, which has long been pretty neglected when compared to the Oculus and HTC Vive. Sony gave us a reel of what games to expect such as Skyrim (you’re gonna be able to play Skyrim on a toaster at the rate they’re porting it), a shooter called Bravo Team, and a new game by Supermassive called The Inpatient. You can see the real reel here.

The New God Of War Looks Interesting

We got more footage of the upcoming God Of War and it looks to be taking a much different feel than the previous titles. It also kind of looks like a slightly different combat system. Looks like Kratos’s days of ripping heads off are behind him as he’s raising his son. You can check out the trailer here.

Detroit And Is That Jesse Williams?

David Cage’s new game, Detroit looks to be a pretty cool story about androids vs. humans. It also stars a character named Marcus who looks exactly like Jesse Williams for some reason. You can see the trailer for it here and they also had a gameplay demo here.

I’m not crazy, right?

The New Spider-Man Game Looks Amazing

We got a great look at the upcoming PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game. It looks fantastic, the combat looks to be taking cues from the Arkham system again, but much better than the previous Amazing Spider-Man game. It also featured cameos from Kingpin and Miles Morales.

That’s pretty awesome. The game is coming in 2018 and you can see the gameplay trailer here.
