Deadpool animated series to be Written by Donald Glover

It looks like the Merc With A Mouth will be coming to FXX by one of the networks’ newest headliners.

Both Donald and his brother, Stephen Glover, will be writing and producing the new Deadpool animated series, set to premiere in 2018.

“Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit ‘Atlanta,'” said Nick Grad, president of original programming at FX Networks and FX Productions.

After winning two awards for the network with Atlanta'(Best Comedy or Musical Television; Best Actor In A Musical Or Comedy), Donald Glover has signed an overall production deal with FX to produce multiple shows with the network. This property looks like it is next on his list.

Along with the new Deadpool series, Glover is also in production for season two of Atlanta(scheduled for 2018) and wrapping his role as the young Lando Calrissian in the new “Han Solo” movie releasing in the summer of 2018.

It’s safe to say that 2018 may be the “Year of Gambino”.

If it’s anything like my favorite version of the character in the animated “Hulk Vs Wolverine” movie, I’ll be happy:
